The popular Buganda Masaza Cup is back.
On SportsNation TV, Brian Kawalya is joined by Edgar Musayimuto to preview the new Masaza Cup season, which is only one matchweek old.
There have been key changes this season, including the allowance of former Uganda Premier League (UPL) and FUFA Big League players to participate, provided they have spent at least one year without competing in either of those leagues.
In previous seasons, any player who had featured in the UPL or Big League was ineligible, as the competition aimed to provide a platform for emerging talent.
Giants Buddo and Gomba, who failed to progress beyond the group stages last year, have started strongly this time round and already look more competitive.
All this, along with the traditional drama and folklore often associated with the Masaza Cup, forms part of the discussion.
