2026 FUFA Super Eight: Teams, Dates Fixtures Confirmed

The fixtures for the 2026 FUFA Super Eight tournament have been confirmed ahead of the start of the new football season.

The annual competition serves as a curtain-raiser for Uganda Premier League clubs, bringing together the top-performing teams from the previous league campaign.

The top eight teams from the 2025/26 Uganda Premier League qualified for this year’s tournament. However, league champions Vipers SC will not participate due to a congested schedule that includes the CECAFA Kagame Cup.

The eight teams set to compete are KCCA FC, SC Villa, Kitara FC, NEC FC, Police FC, UPPC FC, Maroons FC and BUL FC.

As the highest-seeded side in the tournament, KCCA will face BUL FC in the quarterfinals.

The quarterfinals will be played over two legs, with the winners advancing to the semifinals. The losing teams will contest classification matches to determine the fifth to eighth positions.

The semifinal winners will progress to the final, while the defeated sides will play a third-place playoff to determine the third and fourth positions.

The final will be played as a single match at the FUFA Stadium, Omondi in Lugogo.

The 2026 FUFA Super Eight tournament is scheduled to run from 1 August to 15 September 2026.

SC Villa are the 2025 FUFA Super 8 winners having beaten NEC FC 2-0 in the final.
