Tusker Lite Neon Run lights up Kampala with silent disco experience

Tusker Lite on Friday evening combined fitness and entertainment as hundreds turned up for the Neon Run at Circuit Lounge in Kololo.

The sold-out event attracted runners, fitness enthusiasts and party lovers, with participants taking on either the 5KM or 10KM routes through Kololo and surrounding areas.

What stood out from the usual road races was the silent disco experience during the run. A DJ performed live from a moving truck that moved with the runners, while participants listened to music through Bluetooth headphones, creating a lively atmosphere along the route.

After the race, runners were treated to Tusker Lite beers before the event turned into a full night party. DJ Bugy entertained revelers during the silent disco session before DJ KasBaby later took over with a high-energy party mix.

Tusker Lite Brand Manager Sandra Againe said the Neon Run is part of the brand’s effort to blend fitness, social connection and entertainment.

“We are happy with the turnout and energy at the Neon Run. We want to continue creating experiences that bring people together in fun and memorable ways,” Againe said.

The event also served as a build-up to the Tusker Lite Mt Rwenzori Marathon due to take place on August 22 in Kasese, with some participants registering for the race during the event.

Organisers confirmed that more Tusker Lite runs will be held later in the year.
