Uganda women’s national cricket teamz the Victoria Pearls, sealed the Women’s Easter T20 Cup title with an 11-run victory over USA, completing an unbeaten campaign at Entebbe Cricket Ground.

The hosts delivered a disciplined all-round performance to underline their dominance throughout the tournament.

Batting first, Uganda posted 101/5 in 20 overs. Captain Janet Mbabazi led the innings with a steady 31 off 36 balls. Rita Musamali added an unbeaten 21, while Esther Iloku contributed 14 to stabilize the innings. Malisa Ariokot provided a late boost, hitting 13 off five balls to push the total past 100.

In response, USA fell short after being bowled out for 90 in 19 overs. Isani Mahesh Vaghela scored 19 and Sainavi Kambalapalli added 18, but the chase never gained momentum.

Immaculate Nakisuuyi starred with the ball, taking four wickets to earn Player of the Match honors. Irene Mutonyi picked up three wickets, while Consylate Aweko Nimungu and Mbabazi maintained pressure with tight spells.

Uganda’s fielding and consistent bowling prevented USA from building partnerships.

The victory capped a dominant campaign, with Uganda finishing unbeaten on 13 points from seven matches, winning six and having one abandoned.
