•KCCA Leopards Vs JT Lady Jaguars – 7pm
•UCU Canons Vs City Oilers – 9pm
Uganda national basketball team (Silverbacks) star Jonathan Komagum is set to make his National Basketball League debut tonight as the City Oilers take on the UCU Canons at the YMCA Court.
Komagum, alongside Patrick Rembert, joined the Oilers during the mid-season transfer window, although Rembert is expected to feature for the club in the playoffs.
Born in London, Komagum has represented Uganda in several tournaments, including the FIBA World Cup Qualifiers held in Egypt earlier this year.

The 6’9” power forward/centre is renowned for his rebounding ability and further strengthens a City Oilers frontcourt that already includes Titus Lual, Joel Kayiira and Landry Ndikumana.
The 27-year-old most recently featured for Al Ittihad Ahli in the Syrian league. Over the years, he has also played in Greece, Indonesia, North Macedonia, the United States and England, where he began his professional career with the London Lions.
Speaking during a recent interview on NBS Sport, Komagum noted that he started out playing on community courts in London, insisting that adapting to Uganda’s playing surfaces would not be a challenge.

The Oilers head into tonight’s clash in fine form, having won their opening three second-round games against the Victoria Crocs, Rezlife Saints and KCCA Panthers.
Kayiira registered a double-double of 14 points and 17 rebounds as the Oilers defeated Victoria Crocs 74-52.
City Oilers also beat UCU Canons 72-57 in the first-round meeting, with tonight’s encounter reuniting Fayed Bbaale, Lual, Kayiira and Rogers Dauna against their former side.
Nicholas Natuhereza’s UCU beat JT Jaguars 68-65 in their recent outing, their third straight victory.
