Namuwongo Blazers stretched their winning streak with a commanding 93-66 victory over JT Jaguars in a National Basketball League game played on Wednesday at Lugogo.

The result was never in doubt after the Blazers stormed to a 37-16 first-quarter lead.

They went on to dominate the second and third quarters 20-14 and 21-9 respectively, opening up a huge 39-point advantage heading into the final period.

With the game already beyond reach, the Blazers eased off in the fourth quarter, eventually losing it 27-15.

Peter Obleng and Nyembo Fataki led the scoring with 19 and 18 points respectively, while Jimmy Enabu contributed 10 points in the victory.

For the Jaguars, Peter Sifuma registered a double-double of 22 points and 11 rebounds, while Ian Lubwama added 12 points and 12 rebounds in a losing effort.

The Blazers also underlined their squad depth, collecting 51 points from the bench.

JT Jaguars struggled from beyond the arc, shooting 8-for-31 from three-point range, while also committing 20 turnovers and losing the rebound battle 53-43.

The victory marked a 14th straight win for the Blazers since losing their season opener to City Oilers.

It also completed a season double over the Jaguars, whom they defeated 82-62 last month.

For JT Jaguars, it was a fourth defeat in the last five games, piling more pressure on coach Sudi Ulanga.
