Sommet and Rezlife Saints will face off in a decisive Game Three of the National Basketball League (NBL) Playoffs quarterfinals on Sunday at Lugogo.
The series is tied 1-1, with the winner advancing to the best-of-five semifinal series against City Oilers.
Rezlife Saints edged Sommet 61-60 in Game One and had the chance to wrap up the series in Game Two on Wednesday at their home court in Lubowa.
However, Sommet responded emphatically, cruising to an 84-67 victory in a game they controlled from start to finish to force a winner-takes-all decider.
Peter Cheng and Dieu Thuok Kuol starred for Sommet with 24 and 21 points respectively, while Pauti Ozias Kikomba recorded a double-double of 11 points and 11 rebounds.
For Rezlife Saints, Edrine Ekau scored a game-high 25 points, while Hon Kwany added 16 in the losing effort.
Sommet also dominated the battle of the benches, outscoring Rezlife’s reserves 33-15. Rezlife’s struggles were compounded by 20 turnovers, which proved costly in the defeat.
