The Los Angeles Lakers have rewarded forward Arthur Kaluma with a two-way contract ahead of the 2026/27 NBA season following his standout performances in the NBA Summer League.
Kaluma, who spent the 2025/26 season in the Lakers’ G League system, impressed during the Las Vegas Summer League, averaging 17.3 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists across seven games while shooting 56% from the field and 38% from three-point range.
The forward’s best outing came in the Lakers’ victory over the Dallas Mavericks, where he scored 34 points on 11-of-16 shooting, including six three-pointers.
According to ESPN, Kaluma’s performances earned him a new deal after initially joining the Lakers on an Exhibit 10 contract following the NBA Draft.
The 25-year-old has enjoyed a diverse college career, playing for Creighton, Kansas State and Texas. He averaged 12.2 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.7 assists over 134 college games.
At Texas, his final collegiate stop, Kaluma posted 12.3 points and 7.5 rebounds per game while recording career-best shooting numbers.
