The Cricket Cranes squad for the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup Challenge League B in Tanzania has been unveiled.
Riazat Ali Shah who missed the tour in Mumbai in May, returns to captain the team for the crucial phase of the tournament due August 6-19, 2026.
Uganda will be playing 5 matches in Tanzania as they seek to seal their spot in the CWC Qualifier Play-off Tournament and become the 26th Nation to play ODI status matches!
They face hosts Tanzania, Bahrain, Hong Kong-China, Italy and Singapore in the last of the three (3) scheduled rounds.

After two rounds, Uganda sit atop the group with 18 points from 10 matches.
If the Cricket Cranes maintain its top position at the end of this round, they will advance to the 2027 ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier Play-off tournament.
The team, coached by Steven Tikolo who was re-appointed earlier this year to replace Abhay Sharma, has Robinson Obuya and Mathew Musinguzi as reserves.
Kenneth Waiswa, Cyrus Kakuru and Sumeet Verma are the other players included on the squad despite missing the tour in Mumbai.
