Entebbe UPPC have bounced back to winning ways after a hard fought 2-1 win away to Buhimba United Saints in a Uganda Premier League encounter at Royals Park Butema in Hoima.

The Visitors had to come from a goal down after Buhimba had taken the lead through Anwar Ntege’s strike just after the half-hour mark.

Ambrose Kigozi, assisted by Steven Munguchi, found the net before halftime for Abdallah Mubiru’s charges.

And with the game heading for a draw, Isa Mubiru got what proved to be the winner, with his intended cross taking a deflection before finding the net.

Buhimba finished the game with 10 men after David Kasaija was sent off.

The win is the first in six games for Abdallah Mubiru’s UPPC since beating Mbarara City 1-0 in February.

The side moves to fifth place on the table with 40 points after 23 matches after collecting their 11th win of the season.

The defeat is the 16th for Buhimba United Saints who remain second from the bottom with 15 points, missing a chance to move out of the red zone.

What next – Buhimba United Saints host Vipers on April 21 while Entebbe UPPC will face KCCA in Bugonga on the same day.
