Norman Angufindru has completed a move to newly promoted Uganda Premier League side Kigezi HomeBoyz FC, signing a two-year contract ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The experienced goalkeeper joins the Gorillas as a free agent following the expiry of his contract with SC Villa and becomes one of the latest additions as the club strengthens its squad for its maiden campaign in the Uganda Premier League.
Angufindru, 30, brings a wealth of top-flight experience, having previously featured for Ovujo United, Mvara Boys, Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU), Calvary FC, Onduparaka FC and SC Villa.
During his three-year spell with the Jogoos, he won the Uganda Premier League title and the FUFA Super 8, adding to his FUFA Drum Championship triumph with West Nile Province.
Known for his commanding presence, aerial ability, shot-stopping and composure in one-on-one situations, Angufindru is expected to provide experience and leadership to the Kigezi HomeBoyz dressing room as the club prepares for life in the top flight.
Speaking after completing the move, the goalkeeper expressed his excitement at joining the club.
“I am excited to join the Gorillas family and I am looking forward to working together with everyone at the club. My goal is to help the team achieve success, give my all every day, and repay the confidence the club has shown in me. I thank the management for this opportunity,” Angufindru said.
Kigezi HomeBoyz earned promotion to the Uganda Premier League after an impressive 2025/26 campaign and have been active in the transfer market as they seek to build a squad capable of competing in their historic first season among Uganda’s top-flight clubs.
Angufindru becomes another significant acquisition for the club after the recent signing of defender Benjamin Gakumba.
