Uganda Premier League side Lugazi FC have completed the signing of attacking midfielder Christopher Birungi from Buganda Regional League outfit Nyendo FC.
Birungi has penned a four-year contract with the club and is expected to join his new teammates on Sunday as preparations for the 2026/27 season continue.
The midfielder began his career at Tooro Stars FC before featuring for Kasese New Villa in the Western Regional League and FUFA Big League between 2017 and 2019.
He later spent two seasons at Ntoda FC before joining Nyamityoboro FC for the 2021/22 campaign.
Birungi subsequently played for Entebbe Pride FC during the 2023/24 and 2024/25 seasons before moving to Buwambo FC for the first half of the 2025/26 season.
His impressive performances attracted Nyendo FC, where he enjoyed a productive spell, scoring six goals and providing 10 assists before earning a move to Lugazi FC.
