Kitara FC have completed the signing of striker Abdul Karim Ndugwa on a two-year contract ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The experienced forward joins the Royals as a free agent following the expiry of his contract at BUL FC, with Kitara beating off competition from several clubs to secure his signature.
“It’s a joy for me joining Kitara FC. I hope we can achieve success together,” Ndugwa told the club’s media after completing the move.
Ndugwa arrives in Hoima with a wealth of experience in Ugandan football and abroad. During his four seasons at BUL FC, he scored 25 goals in 62 appearances, establishing himself as one of the league’s consistent forwards.
The 28-year-old has previously featured for SC Villa, URA FC, Express FC, Wakiso Giants, Mbarara City FC, Victors FC, Tooro United, Vipers and Onduparaka in Uganda.
He has also enjoyed spells with AFC Leopards in Kenya, Hambericho FC in Ethiopia and Horseed FC in Somalia.
His move reunites him with several teammates he already plays alongside for Bunyoro Province in the FUFA Drum competition, including Jasper Aheebwa, Edson Agondeze, George Senkaaba, Missi Ssemugera and Kabon Living.
Ndugwa becomes Kitara’s latest addition as coach Wasswa Bbosa continues to strengthen his squad for a busy campaign that includes the Uganda Premier League, CAF Confederation Cup, Stanbic Uganda Cup and FUFA Super 8 tournament.
Last season, Kitara relied heavily on Patrick Kaddu, Jimmy Kalema and George Senkaaba for goals, with Ndugwa expected to provide further firepower in attack.
