Blacks Power FC have signed veteran defender Bashir Asiku from Calvary FC ahead of the 2026/27 Uganda Premier League season.
The experienced centre-back, who has previously featured for Vipers SC and Express FC, joins the Lira-based side to bolster their defence following their promotion to the top flight.
Blacks Power have also appointed Simon Peter Mugerwa as their new head coach, while extending the contracts of Rajab Fazil, Joshua Omara, Michael Siwu and Emmanuel Oketch.
The newly promoted side will temporarily play their home matches at Hoima City Stadium after their Ebenezer Stadium failed to meet the required licensing standards.
Blacks Power will begin their UPL campaign against fellow newcomers Ntugasaze at Hoima City Stadium on Saturday, August 29.
