•Mbarara City Vs Blacks Power – Kamwenge, 4pm
•Vipers Vs Maroons – Kitende, 8pm
Mbarara City will be seeking their first win of the season when they host Blacks Power on Sunday in matchday six of the Uganda Premier League at Rwamwanja Stadium in Kamwenge.
The Ankole Lions have played four matches so far, drawing twice and losing twice.
They are yet to score a goal this season, having suffered 1-0 defeats to Police and Ntugasaze, either side of goalless draws against Entebbe UPPC and NEC.
Mbarara City are also expected to continue without head coach Francis Mugerwa, who missed their previous outing against Ntugasaze in Kamwokya.
Reports indicate that Mugerwa, who oversaw the club’s first three matches, parted ways with the team unhappy with management over several issues.
It remains to be seen whether Sadat Nsubuga, Bright Vuni, Reagan Matege and Solomon Okwalinga will return to the squad after missing the previous match. Ambrose Kigozi was sent off against Ntugasaze and will serve his suspension.
Meanwhile, visitors Blacks Power appear to have lost momentum after suffering back-to-back defeats against BUL and Vipers.
Under head coach Simon Peter Mugerwa, the newcomers had made an impressive start to the campaign, beating Ntugasaze, Police and Maroons to collect nine points from their opening three matches.
However, they struggled defensively against Vipers in their last outing, suffering a heavy 4-0 defeat in Hoima.
Blacks Power will now be hoping to bounce back against a Mbarara City side still searching for its first goal and victory of the season.
