Goalkeeper Mathias Kigonya produced a brilliant save as Express FC played out a goalless draw away to Lugazi FC in the Uganda Premier League at Najjembe on Wednesday.
In the 62nd minute, John Kokas Alou delivered a fine cross that found an unmarked Louis Angutu Amagu, who attempted a close-range tap-in.
However, Kigonya reacted quickly, diving to his right to parry away the goal-bound effort and keep Express on level terms.
Angutu thought he had snatched a late winner in added time when he headed home after Kigonya spilled a cross from Frank Mulimi, but the goal was ruled out for a possible offside.
Express also threatened through Abasi Muluya and Duncan Sseninde, but neither side could find the breakthrough as the contest ended goalless.
The draw leaves the Red Eagles 13th on the table with six points from seven matches, having managed just one win so far this season.
Lugazi, meanwhile, remain 11th on eight points as they continue their bid to retain their place in the top flight.
