•Maroons Vs Kataka – Wankulukuku
Kataka will be chasing their first-ever Uganda Premier League victory when they take on Maroons at Wankulukuku today.
Making their top-flight debut this season, the visitors have endured a difficult start, going six games without a win. They have managed just two draws against UPDF FC and SC Villa, while suffering defeats to BUL, KCCA, Kitara and Vipers.
The results have left Robert Mukasa’s side with only two points, placing them second from bottom on the league table.
The Visitors will miss Striker Ali Sentamu who is on three yellow cards while Richard Lampani is sidelined hy an injury.
Kataka head into the encounter on the back of a heavy 5-0 defeat to Vipers in their most recent outing. Usama Arafat scored twice, while Farouk Miya and Milton Karisa were also on target as the defending champions cruised to victory.
Maroons, meanwhile, sit 10th with seven points from six games. They have recorded two wins against Ntugasaze and Lugazi, drawn once against Vipers, and lost to URA, Blacks Power and UPDF FC.
Their most recent outing saw them hold defending champions Vipers to a 1-1 draw at Kitende. Dickson Niwamanya put Maroons ahead before Kevin DaSylva Bady rescued a point for the hosts with a late equaliser.
It was an impressive display from Maroons against the defending champions, and they will be hoping to carry that form into today’s encounter as they seek to return to winning ways.
Kataka, on the other hand, will be desperate to turn their fortunes around and secure a maiden top-flight victory.
