KCCA Volleyball Club’s road at the Women’s African Volleyball Clubs Championship in Cairo, Egypt has come to an end.
Uganda’s sole representatives at the tournament lost 3-0 to Egyptian giants Al Ahly in the Round of 16 clash.
Al Ahly, the 10-time champions, won the sets 25-19, 25-09 and 25-13 to progress to the Quarterfinals.
KCCA had a challenging start to the tournament, losing the opening three matches against Nigeria Customs, Tunisia’s CF Carthage and DCI Kenya.
But they beat Volleyball Club Les Aigles du Congo (VLA) of the Democratic Republic of the Congo to progress out of Group C.
