KCCA FC have re-signed striker Ivan Ahimbisibwe from Iraqi side Zakho Sports Club on a two-year contract running until the end of the 2027/28 season.

Ahimbisibwe returns to Lugogo after a standout 2025/26 campaign in which he scored 14 goals and provided three assists in 27 Uganda Premier League appearances.

His goals helped him win the 2025/26 Uganda Premier League Golden Boot and established him as one of the league’s leading forwards.

The striker left KCCA FC after the season to join Zakho Sports Club in Iraq but has now returned to the Kampala club.

“If I was ever going to come back home, it was always going to be KCCA FC; there was never any doubt,” Ahimbisibwe said after completing the move.

“This club treated me like family during my time here, and the love from the Cityzens was unmatched. When the chance to pull on this famous yellow shirt again came up, I didn’t need to think twice. I am back to finish what we started.”

His return gives KCCA FC another attacking option as the club targets major honours this season.

Ahimbisibwe has previously played for Mbarara Sports Academy, Synergy FC, Nyamityobora, UPDF, URA FC, KCCA FC and Zakho SC.
