KCCA FC has officially unveiled its women’s football team, KCCA Women FC, following the acquisition of a 30 percent stake in Kampala Queens FC.
The deal, initially valid for one year, will see KCCA FC gradually increase its ownership stake in the women’s club over the coming years.
As part of the agreement, Kampala Queens have been rebranded KCCA Women FC and will adopt KCCA FC’s official colours, branding and visual identity. The team will, however, retain its popular nickname, The Kampala Queens.
KCCA Women FC will now operate alongside the men’s team as the official women’s side of KCCA Football Club, with the partnership aimed at strengthening the club’s football structure and contributing to the growth of women’s football in Uganda.
The new arrangement was unveiled during KCCA FC Day on Tuesday, August 25, in the presence of KCCA officials, government representatives, club leaders and supporters.
Among those in attendance were KCCA Women FC (Kampala Queens) Chairman Patrick Ntege, Minister for Kampala Hajjat Minsa Kabanda, KCCA Executive Director Hajjat Sharifah Buzeki, Deputy Executive Director Benon Moses Kigenyi and KCCA Chairman Eng. Sserunjogi Andrew Mukiibi.
The club also used the occasion to unveil the new KCCA Women FC jersey for the 2026/27 season.
