Uganda Premier League side Lugazi FC has confirmed parting ways with head coach Simon Peter Mugerwa!
The club has also revealed that Assistant Coach Robert Sekweyama has also left.
Mugerwa and Sekweyama played key roles during their time with the team and were praised for their commitment and hard work.
However, the club noted that both results and performances fell short of the targets and expectations set for the season.

“Simon Peter Mugerwa and Robert Sekweyama worked exceptionally hard throughout their time at the club, but both the results and the performances fell below the team’s targets and expectations,” the statement read.
Mugerwa joined the club in December last year before guiding the side to safety, finishing 13th with 25 points, four above safety.
During his time, Lugazi won just thrice against Buhimba United Saints, BUL and UPDF, six draws and lost 10!
Mugerwa had replaced the duo of Francis Mugerwa and Steven Bogere.

Simon Peter Mugerwa found the club in 13th then with 9 points.
He has previously coached Mbarara City, Police, SC Villa, Bright Stars, Proline and Fire Masters among others.
The club has now begun the process of identifying replacements for both the Head Coach and Assistant Head Coach positions.
