Ugandan football fans will be able to follow every match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup live after MultiChoice confirmed that all 104 games will air across all DStv packages.
The tournament, scheduled to run from June 11 to July 19, 2026, is set to be hosted in the United States, Mexico and Canada. This is the biggest FIFA World Cup in history as it featured 48 national teams.
DStv announced that subscribers on all bouquets — from DStv Access to Premium — will have full access to live coverage on SuperSport channels.
The biggest football bonanza kicks off just after the climax of European football including the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League.
Top players including Kylian Mbappe, Christiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and a buffet of Premier League stars, will be competing for the coveted prize.
Africa will have a huge say more than ever as ten representatives, including DR Congo who progressed via playoffs, will take part.
At the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, Morocco went all the way to the semifinals, Africa’s best ever finish.

To attract more viewers ahead of the global football showpiece, the company also unveiled special decoder offers for the Ugandan market running from May 11 to August 31.
During the promotion, DStv Standard decoders will retail at UGX20,000, while Zappers will cost UGX15,000. Explora decoders will go for UGX559,000 and full kits will be available at UGX45,000.
SuperSport will provide extensive coverage throughout the tournament, including dedicated 24-hour FIFA World Cup channels, simultaneous live matches, multilingual commentary and a special pop-up World Cup channel.
The broadcaster said viewers will also enjoy match highlights, expert analysis, magazine shows, behind-the-scenes content and African football stories tailored for audiences across the continent.
With matches expected to kick off late at night due to time differences, DStv says fans will still be able to keep up with the action through Live TV, Catch Up, replays and streaming services.
MultiChoice, a CANAL+ company, secured the rights to broadcast the 23rd edition of the FIFA World Cup, with SuperSport set to deliver the tournament to both DStv and GOtv audiences across Africa.
The final of the 2026 FIFA World Cup will be played on July 19, 2026.
