•Uganda Vs Ghana – Kadiba, 4pm
Uganda U-20 Women’s National Team head coach Sheryl Ulanda Botes has expressed confidence ahead of the Queen Cranes’ decisive FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifier against Ghana on Saturday at FUFA Stadium, Kadiba.
The Queen Cranes go into the return leg needing to overturn a 2-1 defeat from the first meeting in Accra, with Uganda’s away goal keeping qualification hopes alive.
Botes believes her side is mentally prepared and ready to fight for a historic place at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Poland 2026.
“We are ready. The girls are positive. We reviewed the first leg and corrected the mistakes we made. We are going to fight to qualify for the World Cup,” Botes said.

The tactician acknowledged Ghana’s qualities, especially in midfield and attack, but insisted Uganda has prepared well to handle the threat.
“They are strong in midfield and have good speed upfront, but we know how to challenge their strengths and we are confident of getting a positive result,” she added.
“It is a huge opportunity for all of us and for women’s football in Uganda. The belief is there and we are managing the pressure and expectations well.
“We want to become the first Uganda women’s national team to qualify for the World Cup.”
The aggregate winner will secure qualification to the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Poland 2026.
