•Uganda Vs Kenya
The Uganda U-17 Women’s National Team, the Teen Cranes, will host Kenya on Friday at FUFA Stadium, Kadiba in the first leg of the second round of the African Qualifiers for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.
The match will kick off at 4:00 PM, with Uganda targeting a strong result at home to boost their chances ahead of the return leg. FUFA has announced free entry for fans.
The Teen Cranes completed their final preparations on Thursday with a training session at FUFA Stadium, Kadiba. The session focused on tactical organisation, match sharpness and team cohesion.
Head coach Sheryl Ulanda Botes said the team is ready for the challenge.
“We have worked on the key details to put the players in good shape. The atmosphere is positive,” Botes said.
She added that Uganda is aware of the challenge Kenya will bring.
“It’s not our first time to play against Kenya, and we know what they are bringing. We know it’s going to be a competitive match, but our aim is to win,” she noted.

The return leg will be played on 30th May 2026 at Nyayo National Stadium in Nairobi.
The winner on aggregate over the two legs will progress to the next round of the qualifiers.
The aggregate winner will face either South Africa or Tanzania in the next stage of qualification.
The Teen Cranes eliminated Zimbabwe 6-1 on aggregate in the previous round.
Uganda is chasing one of the four slots reserved for the African continent for the 2026 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup that will be hosted by Morocco from 17 October to 7 November 2026.
