Uganda Premier League side BUL FC have confirmed the departure of 10 players following the expiry of their contracts.
The list includes lanky left-back Nicholas Mwere, who is reportedly set to join reigning champions Vipers SC.
Also leaving the club are Ibrahim Orit, Fredrick Ngalo, Bakali Magunda, Viane Ssekajugo, Thomas Ochungo, Jeromy Kirya, Julius Barasa, Isaac Wagoina and Karim Ndugwa.
“Following a thorough end-of-season review, the club confirms that all players whose contracts have expired this summer will not be renewed ahead of the 2026/27 campaign,” BUL said in a statement.
“This decision is part of our long-term vision to refresh the squad, invest in emerging talent from our development structures, and build a team ready to compete at the highest level in the Uganda Premier League.”
Ndugwa scored eight goals last season, matching the tally he registered during the 2024/25 campaign.
“To every player leaving us: thank you for your service, commitment and contribution to the Eastern Giants. You will always be part of the BUL FC family. We wish you every success in the next step of your careers.”
“The work to strengthen our squad for the season ahead has already begun. We will communicate new arrivals and retained players in due course.”
Wagoina struggled to establish himself at BUL after joining the club on the back of a prolific 2023/24 season in which he scored 14 goals for Express FC. He departs having managed just five league goals across two seasons.
Coached by Alex Isabirye, BUL finished ninth in the Uganda Premier League last season with 37 points.
