Charles Lwanga marked his return to KCCA FC with a goal as the Kasasiro Boys edged BUL FC 2-1 in the first leg of their FUFA Super 8 quarterfinal at Nakivubo on Saturday.
Lwanga, who rejoined KCCA from SC Villa during the current transfer window, needed just 15 minutes to open his account on his debut.
Shafic Nana Kwikiriza delivered a cross from the right that BUL’s defence failed to clear, allowing Lwanga to bundle the ball home from close range.

BUL responded just three minutes later after KCCA captain Herbert Achayi was dispossessed before fouling Denis Ssewagudde inside the box. Reagan Kalyowa calmly converted the resulting penalty to level the scores.
KCCA restored their lead in the second half through Saidi Mayanja, who reacted quickest to a loose ball inside the penalty area and fired into the far corner.
Lwanga came close to grabbing his second of the afternoon, but his powerful effort crashed against the crossbar.

The victory gives KCCA a slender advantage heading into the return leg, with at least a draw on Friday at Nakivubo enough to secure a place in the semifinals.
