Nemostars bounced back to winning ways with a straight-sets victory over Sport-S in an all Ugandan affair at the ongoing Men’s Africa Club Volleyball Championship in Kigali, Rwanda.
Playing at Petit Stade on Thursday, Nemostars secured a convincing 3-0 win in a 9th to 16th placement match.
The Ugandan giants sailed in the opening set 25-16 before edging the subsequent sets 25-22 and 25-23 in that order.
The result comes after Nemostars had suffered elimination against Kenya Port Authority at the Round of 16.
Sport-S, who had topped their group, were eliminated by Rwanda Energy Group.
Nemostars will now continue their push for a ninth-place finish when they face Nigeria Customs on Friday.
After, they will face either Ghana Army or APR Rwanda who face off in the other 9-12 placement game.
Meanwhile, Sport-S will take on Kenya’s General Service Unit in their next match as they battle for 13th position.
Equity Bank (Kenya) and Kalibi (Ghana) are also in Sport-S’ path.
