City Oilers have added naturalised Ugandan-American small forward Germaine Roebuck Jr as their third signing in the ongoing National Basketball League mid-season transfer window.
The Oilers had earlier signed Patrick Rembert and Jonathan Komagum as they continue their push to reclaim the league title they lost to Namuwongo Blazers last season.
Roebuck is not new to the Oilers setup, having previously featured for the team in the Basketball Africa League rather than the local league.

Like Rembert, he is expected to feature for the side during the playoffs, pending official communication from the club.
Roebuck, who turns 29 in July, was born in Illinois, USA, and has played professionally in Nicaragua, Portugal, the United States and Rwanda, among other countries.
Roebuck featured for the Oilers in the Basketball Africa League qualifiers in 2022, 2023 and 2024, averaging a combined 12.5 points and 5.3 rebounds per game.

The Oilers have been impressive this season, winning 14 of their 15 games so far, with their only defeat coming against Rezlife Saints.
City Oilers next five matches:
•May 16: Kampala Rockets
•May 17: UMU Flames
•May 20: JT Jaguars
•May 23: Nam Blazers
•May 31: JKL Dolphins
