City Oilers made light work of JKL Dolphins, cruising to an 85-33 victory in the National Basketball League on Sunday at Abja Park in Naalya.
The Oilers set the tone early, racing to a 23-4 lead after the opening quarter on their way to a dominant 52-point win.
City Oilers’ bench contributed 40 points, outscoring the entire JKL Dolphins team.
Jonathan Komagum led the Oilers with a double-double of 11 points and 13 rebounds. Edgar Munaaba and Daniel Odokonyero added 14 points apiece, while Allawi Ssenkubuge chipped in with 11 points.
JKL struggled offensively, with no player reaching double figures. Hasan Sentamu led the Dolphins with eight points, while Haron Arinaitwe added seven.
Despite the convincing victory, the Oilers endured a poor shooting night from beyond the arc, making just one of their 18 three-point attempts, and committed 31 turnovers. However, they dominated the boards, outrebounding JKL 64-23.

JKL Dolphins, meanwhile, remain locked in a relegation battle. They sit at 5-15 and will wrap up their season with fixtures against Kampala Rockets and Rezlife Saints.
