Uganda Premier League giants KCCA FC are set to sign Congolese forward Gedeon Bendeka, SportsNation Uganda has learnt.

The goal poacher is currently a free agent following the expiration of his contract with Rwandan side AS Kigali, leaving his next destination open as clubs move to secure his services.

Sources have told SportsNation Uganda that the forward, who has also attracted interest from APR, is currently training at Lugogo.

NEC FC and Vipers are also reportedly aware of the player’s situation.

Bendeka has gained valuable experience across East and Central Africa, having previously featured for Congolese outfit SC Don Bosco, Kenyan side Kakamega Homeboyz and Gor Mahia before joining AS Kigali.

KCCA FC, who host Kataka on Wednesday, have endured a wobbling start to the new campaign, losing to NEC FC and Express FC before settling for a goalless draw away to Kigezi Homeboyz.
