*JT Lady Jaguars Vs UCU Lady Canons – Lugogo, 7pm

JT Lady Jaguars will look to make amends when they take on UCU Lady Canons in Game Two of the Women’s National Basketball League Finals today at Lugogo.

JT, who topped the regular-season standings, lost Game One 50–35 on Wednesday to trail 1–0 in the best-of-seven finals series.

Sandra Ayikoru scored 10 points and was the only JT player to reach double figures, while Mercy Batamuliza pulled down 19 rebounds in a commendable effort.

The Jaguars made a poor start, trailing 4–10 after the first quarter and playing catch-up for the rest of the game.

They struggled from beyond the arc, shooting just 2-for-33 from three-point range, while 24 turnovers further hurt their chances.

Despite the defeat, JT will take confidence from their regular-season meetings with UCU, having beaten the Lady Canons in both encounters.

The Lady Canons were led by Matrina Anyango, who posted a double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds, while Sylvia Nakituuka added 15 points in the win.

Coached by Sudi Ulanga, JT will hope for a much-improved performance as they seek to level the series before Game Three.
