KCCA FC have received a timely injury boost ahead of Tuesday’s Uganda Premier League clash against Ntugasaze FC, with four players returning to contention for the match at Kiira Road Police Arena in Kamwokya.
Hassan Muhamud, Etienne Katenga, Ashraf Mugume and teenager Derrick Ssozi have all recovered from injuries that kept them out of KCCA’s previous match against URA FC.
Coach Brian Ssenyondo has revealed that the quartet resumed training and is available for selection.
However, winger Shafik Kwikiriza remains sidelined as he continues rehabilitation from a knock, while goalkeeper Humphrey Oyirwoth will miss the encounter on compassionate leave following the death of his father.

Ssenyondo will hope the returning players strengthen his options as the 13-time league champions seek a second consecutive victory following their 1-0 win over URA on Friday.
“Every game in this league brings its own unique pressure, especially when you face teams eager to prove themselves against KCCA. We respect our opponent, but our focus is strictly on executing our game plan and bringing home all three points,” Ssenyondo said.
KCCA head into the encounter with seven points from five matches, having registered two wins, one draw and two defeats.
Their opponents, Ntugasaze, have endured a difficult start to their maiden top-flight campaign, collecting three points from five matches. They have won once and lost four times, scoring five goals and conceding 11.
Ntugasaze’s only victory came last Wednesday when they defeated Mbarara City 1-0, giving them a confidence boost ahead of their first-ever competitive meeting with KCCA.
