Police FC assistant coach Ahmed Olimi says they are not giving up despite a poor run of results as they visit Mbarara City on Thursday in the Uganda Premier League.
After topping the table at one stage, Police FC have since slipped out of the title contenders and currently sit seventh on the 16-team log.
The club has only one victory to show in their last six games and come into this fixture on the back of two straight defeats against NEC and Express.
“We have not been doing well recently in this second round because we have picked up a couple of injuries and suspensions,” Ahmed Olimi commented.
“But we are not giving up, and we are ready to get a good result against Mbarara City.”
Police will miss goalkeeper Mathias Muwanga with a shoulder imjury while Daniel Otto, Ivan Eyam and Derrick Maviri did not travel.
Steven Namaisi is back from suspension after missing the game against Express while Kizito Ryan Figo returns after months on the sideline.
Denis Kalanzi has since moved out of the country.

Mbarara City on the other hand, sit just a place and a point above relegation zone!
The Ankole Lions are 14th on the table with 16 points after 22 matches and are winless in their last six matches since beating Calvary FC.
Mbarara City will miss goalkeeper Derrick Emukule due to an ankle injury while Wycliff Ahumuza is back in the squad an available for selection.
Reagan Matega, Aaron Icumar, Sadat Nsubuga and Kaka Omony are still out.
The first round meeting between the two sides ended in a 1-1 draw with Mbarara City needing a Reagan Matege equaliser after Ramsey Jjemba had scored earlier for Police at Kira road Kamwokya playground.
