•SC Villa 1-0 URA FC
(Aggregate: 3-0)
SC Villa have progressed to the Uganda Cup final for the first time in 11 years after eliminating URA in the semifinals.
The Jogoos secured a 1-0 victory on Saturday at FUFA Stadium, Kadiba, to advance with a 3-0 aggregate win.
James Begisa scored an own goal while attempting to block Ibrahim Kasinde’s goal-bound effort.
In a match that lacked clear-cut chances, the Jogoos held on to book their place in the final, their first appearance since 2015 when they defeated KCCA in a rescheduled final at Namboole.
SV Villa will face Kitara in the final after the Royals eliminated Vipers on the away goals rule in the other semifinal.
SC Villa edge closer to silverware

The tie was all but settled after the first leg, when SC Villa secured victory at Nakivubo and left URA with a mountain to climb.
The Tax Collectors lacked a cutting edge in front of goal, with Joseph Ssemujju firing inches wide before Moses Aliro was denied by goalkeeper David Lukwago after a fine delivery from James Begisa.
Lukwago nearly gifted URA a goal when he fumbled Godfrey Ssekibengo’s long-range effort, but the crossbar came to his rescue.
Villa, however, stood tall and resolute, constantly threatening the Tax Collectors whenever they pushed forward.
At the final whistle, the Jogoos celebrated taking a huge step in a competition where they had earlier eliminated Pallisa Hospital, BUL FC, Maroons and Happy Boys Kagaba.
The competition now presents Villa with their most realistic chance of silverware this season, as they currently sit third on 55 points, seven behind leaders Vipers with only two league games remaining.
Villa will face Kitara in the final, although the date and venue are yet to be confirmed.
The Jogoos beat Kitara 1-0 at Kadiba before Kitara responded with a 2-0 victory in Hoima in their two league meetings this season.
