•Sommet Vs UCU Canons – 9pm
UCU Lady Canons will be aiming to complete a season double over Magic Stormers when the two sides face off on Friday in the National Basketball League.
The Lady Canons defeated the Stormers 55-48 in the first round meeting on February 15 at UCU in Mukono.
Stormers put up a strong performance in that game, leading 14-8 after the first quarter and taking a seven-point advantage into halftime. However, they ran out of steam in the second half as UCU fought back to claim victory.
Matrina Anyango starred for UCU with 21 points and 16 rebounds, while Shilla Lamunu added 13 points in the win.
Stormers were outrebounded 50-39 in the first meeting, an area they will need to improve if they are to pull off an upset.
UCU have won 13 games and lost only twice this season, with both defeats coming against JT Lady Jaguars.
Stormers, on the other hand, have won eight games and lost as many. They head into the fixture on the back of a 69-60 victory over Miracle Eaglets on Wednesday.
