Krystal Water Kits Kawempe Muslim Ahead of CAF Regional Qualifiers

Krystal Water, a flagship brand of Hariss International Limited, has unveiled new jerseys for Kawempe Muslim Ladies Football Club as the reigning Ugandan champions prepare to represent the country at the CAF Women’s Champions League regional qualifiers in Kigali, Rwanda.

The jersey handover, held on Friday at the Hariss International plant, brought together players, coaches and Krystal Water representatives to celebrate the club’s achievements and officially see off the team ahead of its continental campaign.

Krystal Water has partnered with Kawempe Muslim Ladies since 2023, supporting the club’s growth while promoting women’s football, youth empowerment and community development.

The partnership is also rooted in the club’s close ties to the Kawempe community, where the Hariss International plant is located, and reflects Krystal Water’s commitment to nurturing young talent through sport.

Kawempe Muslim Ladies, which has more than two decades of history, is one of Uganda’s most successful women’s football clubs. The club has won six FUFA Women Super League titles and claimed bronze at the 2025 CECAFA Championship.

The latest league triumph earned the Valley Warriors Uganda’s direct slot at the regional CAF tournament after they finished the 2025/26 Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League season with 52 points, one ahead of She Corporate FC.

In Kigali, Kawempe Muslim Ladies will compete in Group B alongside Ethiopia’s Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE) and Djibouti’s FC UJECO. The tournament will run from August 21 to 31, with only one qualification place available for the CAF Women’s Champions League finals.

The club returns to the regional competition four years after making its maiden appearance in 2022, when it narrowly missed qualification for the continental finals.

The new jerseys are intended as both recognition of the team’s recent success and practical support as the players prepare for the challenge ahead. The team is scheduled to depart Uganda on August 19.

Speaking at the unveiling, Krystal Water Commercial Director Mahmoud Seblini said the partnership with Kawempe Muslim Ladies goes beyond sponsorship.

“It is about empowering young talent in sports, nurturing talent and giving back to the Kawempe community. We are proud to support the team as they represent Uganda at the CAF Games and remain committed to standing with them in their journey.”

Seblini also wished the players and technical team success in Kigali, saying their journey could inspire more young women to pursue opportunities in sport.

The jersey unveiling comes at a significant moment for Kawempe Muslim Ladies, as the club hopes to break the Country’s Continental jinx.
