•URA Vs SC Villa – Nakivubo, 8pm
SC Villa will be seeking their first win of the season when they take on URA FC on Friday in the Uganda Premier League at Nakivubo.
The Jogoos were held to a 1-1 draw by Kitara in their league opener at Wankulukuku.
Villa leading 1-0 thanks to Andrew Okumu’s strike, were on course for maximum points before a late equaliser from substitute Crispus Asiki headed in in added time.
It was a cruel ending for the Jogoos and coach Zeljko Kovacevic will be demanding a strong reaction from the boys.
URA on the other hand, fought back to beat Maroons 2-1 at Wankulukuku in their league opener.
The Tax Collectors fell behind in the first half when Darius Ojok put Maroons ahead, but second-half goals from Dissan Galiwango and Abraham Tusubira turned the game around and secured a hard-fought victory.
Coach Jimmy Kintu Mwera will hope his side can replicate this performance against the Jogoos.
Last season, URA and Villa played out a goalless draw at Nakivubo while Villa had won the first round meeting 3-0 at Kadiba thanks to Frank Mulimi, Missi Diego and Najib Yiga’s goals.
SC Villa will miss Aslam Ssemakula and Najib Yiga while URA’s duo of Innocent Kisolo and Elvis Ssekajugo remain doubtful.
