•Kitara 2-0 SC Villa

Kitara moved into second place in the Uganda Premier League after a 2-0 win over SC Villa on Thursday at Royals Park in Butema, Hoima.
First-half goals from Patrick Kaddu and Yunus Sibira were enough to hand Kitara maximum points in a high-stakes clash.
Kaddu opened the scoring just before the half-hour mark, turning in Sibira’s delivery to give the hosts the lead.
Sibira then doubled the advantage at the stroke of halftime, finishing off a swift counterattack after being picked out by Jimmy Kalema. He beat the goalkeeper before calmly slotting home.
It was an impressive all-round performance from Sibira, who joined the side from Buhimba United Saints and has previously featured for Gaddafi, Mbarara City, and BUL FC.
The result has significant implications in the title race. SC Villa drop to fourth on 51 points, eight behind leaders Vipers, who have 59.
Kitara climb to second with 54 points and will be confident of pushing the title race to the wire.
Kitara FC’s remaining four matches are against NEC FC (H), Express (A), BUL (A), and Police (H).
