Vipers SC recorded a convincing 4-0 victory over league debutants Blacks Power at the new Hoima City Stadium to register their second win of the season.
Gusto Wa Mulongo bagged a brace, while Usama Arafat and Milton Karisa scored a goal each as the Venoms cruised to victory.
Mulongo opened the scoring in the 12th minute, heading home from close range following a well-delivered cross from Ashraf Mandela.
Usama doubled Vipers’ advantage at the half-hour mark after being set up by Mulongo.
The forward then turned provider, setting up Mulongo to complete his brace just before half-time with a finish past Blacks Power goalkeeper Martin Ssenkooto.
Karisa sealed the emphatic win in the 80th minute, heading home from another Mandela assist to make it 4-0.
The result marks back-to-back victories for Vipers, who bounced back from an opening-day defeat to Entebbe UPPC with a 3-0 win over Ntugasaze before the international break.
For Blacks Power, it was a second consecutive defeat after losing to BUL, having started their campaign with three straight victories.
