•UCU Lady Canons vs JKL Lady Dolphins – 7pm
•Nam Blazers Vs UCU Canons – 9pm
Namuwongo Blazers and UCU Canons face off in their final regular-season game of the National Basketball League on Friday at Lugogo.
The Blazers can leapfrog City Oilers to finish top of the standings with a victory.
City Oilers currently lead the table with a 20-2 record, while Namuwongo Blazers are second with 19 wins and two losses.
A win against UCU would see Namuwongo match the Oilers’ 20-2 record but claim top spot on the head-to-head tiebreaker.
The Blazers defeated City Oilers 76-50 in their second-round meeting after losing 74-65 in the first round, giving them the superior aggregate head-to-head record this season.
UCU Canons, meanwhile, sit sixth with a 12-9 record. Regardless of Friday’s result, they are set to finish fourth. Even a loss would take them to 34 points, level with Sommet Basketball Club on a 12-10 record, but UCU hold the tiebreak advantage after beating Sommet in both regular-season meetings.
Namuwongo defeated UCU 70-58 in the first-round meeting in February, with Nyembo Fataki and Innocent Ochera scoring 14 and 10 points respectively.

The Blazers head into the contest on the back of a commanding 110-64 victory over Kampala Rockets, a game in which Paul Odong set new league records for points and three-pointers made, finishing with an astonishing 53 points.
Namuwongo have won four consecutive games and will be eager to maintain their momentum heading into the playoffs as they seek to defend their league title.
UCU, on the other hand, come into the fixture following a disappointing 78-71 defeat to UPDF Tomahawks. The Canons will be looking to bounce back, make a statement, and build confidence ahead of the postseason.
