•UCU Lady Canons vs JKL Lady Dolphins – 7pm
•Nam Blazers Vs UCU Canons – 9pm
UCU Lady Canons will be aiming to complete a season double over JKL Lady Dolphins when the two sides face off in the National Basketball League on Friday at Lugogo.
The fixture marks UCU’s penultimate game of the regular season, while JKL will be playing their final match before the playoffs.
In the first-round meeting, UCU secured a commanding 80-57 victory, dominating from start to finish after taking a 20-10 lead in the opening quarter.
Christine Saima led the scoring with 16 points, while Sylvia Nakituuka and Zoe Atek added 10 points apiece as coach Nicholas Natuhereza’s side cruised to victory.

For JKL, Rita Imanishimwe registered a double-double of 22 points and 10 rebounds, while Flavia Oketcho and Tamasha Nsubuga contributed 13 points each in a losing effort.
The defending champions, who are chasing a fourth consecutive league title, have endured a difficult campaign due to the absence of several key players.
JKL needed a victory over Nabisunsa on Wednesday in their penultimate regular-season game to secure a playoff berth.
They currently sit eighth in the standings, a position they cannot improve or drop from regardless of Friday’s result. As a result, they are set to face top-seeded JT Lady Jaguars in the quarterfinal playoffs.

That makes Friday’s contest largely academic for a side that recently welcomed back Brenda Ekone from a lengthy injury layoff.
UCU, meanwhile, have already secured second place and still have a meeting with KCCA Leopards scheduled for Sunday.
Should the Lady Canons win both their remaining games, including Friday’s clash against JKL, they will finish level on points with JT Lady Jaguars but cant leapfrog the side for top place. UCU’s only two defeats of the season have come against the table-toppers.
