Uganda U-20 Women’s National Team head coach Sheryl Ulanda Botes has confirmed her final travelling squad for the decisive round of the African qualifiers for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup 2026, where the team will face Ghana.
The first leg is set for Sunday, 3rd May 2026, at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The team wrapped up its final training session on Thursday evening at the FUFA Technical Centre before departure.
Botes has largely retained the squad that edged Zambia in the previous round, making just one adjustment in midfield. Zainabu Birungi has been drafted in to replace Dorcus Kisakye.

The Queen Cranes have been in residential camp in Njeru, where preparations have been intensified ahead of what is expected to be a highly competitive tie.
Speaking ahead of the trip, Botes admitted Ghana will pose a serious challenge but expressed confidence in her team’s readiness after reviewing their opponent’s recent performances.
She noted that Uganda studied Ghana’s match against South Africa and expects a closely contested encounter between the two sides.
