Lugazi FC have completed the signing of defender Jamaldin Buchochera on a two-year contract ahead of the 2026/27 Uganda Premier League season.
Buchochera joins Abbey Kikomeko’s side from Rwandan club Gasogi United, marking his return to the Uganda Premier League.
He becomes Lugazi’s second signing of the current transfer window following the arrival of Louis Anguti.
The experienced defender has previously featured for Mbale Heroes, Gaddafi FC and BUL FC in the Uganda Premier League, bringing valuable top-flight experience to the Lugazi backline.
His versatility is expected to provide a major boost to Kikomeko’s squad as the club looks to improve on last season’s performance.
Lugazi have also reshaped their technical bench, appointing Abbey Kikomeko as head coach and Bastu Ssemuyamba as his assistant, replacing Simon Peter Mugerwa and Robert Ssekweyama.
