•Lugazi Vs Mbarara City – Najjembe
•Calvary Vs Police – Midigo
Mbarara City will look to build on their recent momentum when they visit Lugazi FC in a Uganda Premier League clash on Wednesday at Najjembe.
The Ankole Lions head into the match following a 2-1 victory over Express in their previous outing at Rwamwanja Stadium in Kamwenge.
Clinton Kamugisha gave Mbarara City the lead before Kenneth Kimera equalised for Express. Ian Amanya, however, netted what proved to be the winner.
That result marked Mbarara City’s first win in 10 matches, their last victory having come against Calvary at home. Before win over Express. Club was on a poor run that saw them lose seven games and collect just two points from a possible 27.
Ahead of the Lugazi tie, Mbarara City will be without Marvin Busulwa, while Muhammad Kanyike and Wyclif Ahumuza return and are available for selection.
Coached by Zaidi Byekwaso, Mbarara City will come up against their former head coach Simon Peter Mugerwa, now in charge of Lugazi FC.
Mugerwa was dismissed by Mbarara City in November last year after managing just two points from six games, drawing twice and losing four times.
With 20 points, Mbarara City sit just five points above the relegation zone and will be battling for survival in their final four matches of the season.
Lugazi, who are 12th with 23 points, are also not yet safe but will be confident of doing enough to maintain their top-flight status.
They go into the game on the back of a 2-0 win over Buhimba United Saints, with Freedom Mungudit and Hamza Mulambuzi scoring the goals.
The hosts will be missing Dauson Mafumu and Yusuf Mafabi who return for suspension.
The first-round meeting between the two sides ended goalless in Kamwenge, while last season’s encounter at Najjembe finished in a 1-1 draw.
