Big League Club Deducted Points For Beating Referees

FUFA has deducted two points and two goals from Young Elephant following ugly scenes during their Big League match against Nebbi Central.

At full time in Nwoya, after a goalless draw, Young Elephant fans and officials were captured in a circulating video assaulting match officials.

Reports indicate there were also several controversial incidents during the match.

A statement from the FUFA Disciplinary Panel reads in part: “Young Elephants Academy FC has been sanctioned with an immediate deduction of two points and two goals, and a fine of UGX 500,000 for acts of hooliganism in the Young Elephants Academy FC vs Nebbi Central FC Big League match on April 26, 2026.”

They join other Big League teams that have suffered points deductions this season, including Paidha Black Angels, Kiyinda Boys, Nebbi Central, and Mbale Heroes.

The sanction leaves Young Elephant eighth on the table with 34 points, dealing a blow to their promotion hopes.
